Library Directory lists libraries at universities
and colleges in Region 8.
Assistance providers in Region 8 states are eligible to check-out items
that can be shipped by U.S. mail. However, through either e-mail or
fax, we may be able to get items to you faster. We may also refer you
to the creator of the resource or your local library. Many university,
city and state libraries participate in the "interlibrary loan"
system, where libraries loan to each other.
|
Loan Period: Materials are checked out for four weeks unless otherwise
stated.
Quantity Loaned: A maximum of two items may be checked
per request.
Returning Materials: You are personally responsible for
loan materials from the time they are checked out until they are returned. If
you lose loaned materials, you must replace them or reimburse the Library for
the replacement costs.
To ensure materials are returned in a timely manner, we recommend
you prepare them for return mailing at the end of the third week of the loan
period. Replace them in the reuseable mailer, using the return address label
included for your convenience. Obtain a mailing receipt to verify mailing date
and method in case articles are lost after they leave your hands.
The Peaks to Prairies librarian can help you identify resources that meet
your needs and fax a list of what's available. Your question may be answered
by a simple fax or e-mail without requiring a formal loan. Contact the librarian
at ewilke@montana.edu describing what
you are looking for.
