A subsidiary of the NAHB. The Research Center's mission is multi-faceted and aimed at keeping America's builders on the leading edge of technology, while enhancing the quality and affordability of housing for all Americans. At one end of the spectrum is research on the design and construction of homes. At the other end are some of America's most important social and policy issues, such as land use, the environment, affordable and sustainable housing, and special needs housing. Research Center staff are dedicated to bringing technical, regulatory, and practical factors into consideration as they facilitate the adoption of technology that will provide alternatives and improve housing performance.
