Web Trends Reports: Data About Web Site Traffic
Peaks to Prairies is using a program called Web Trends to analyze web site visitation, to aid in web site management, and to collect certain information for statistical purposes. We can find out what information people find most valuabe and what they would like to see more of by tracking;
- what pages are most visited,
- visitation trends over time,
- time spent during visits, and
- how visitors are referred to the site.
We use the information we collect to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of our web site, allowing us to make our web site more useful and accessible to visitors. Specialized software is used to create summary statistics, in order to assess what information is of most and least interest to our customers, to determine technical design specifications, and to identify system performance or problem areas.
Peaks to Prairies is committed to maintaining a web site that protects the
individual's right to privacy. We do not require personal information from our
visitors, nor do we collect any personally identifying information (name, email
address, Social Security number, or other unique identifier) unless you knowingly
provide it. Likewise, we do not give, sell, or transfer any personal information
to a third party except as might be required by law. We do not store any personal
identifiers and no cookies or other visitor identification technique
is used; we just look at where people go on our site.
